A Daily Adventure

New Babies!

Spring is finally here and new babies are requiring huge amounts of our time and energy!  I turn the Muscovy eggs morning and night...all 21 of them!  We feed, water, and clean the brooder box for the Indian Runner duckling that hatched with the eight Bourbon Red turkey poults.  The turkey poults have been moved outside into the new brooder house and the smell is gone from our utility room...but then the trip to clean, feed, and water demands many more steps.  Our new little mini silky fainter doeling joined our buckling when she was only six weeks old and requires constant feeding and loving!  This farming job is truly the hardest job you will ever love!  God bless this farmers tired soul (feet, legs, arms, back, and shoulders, too!)
